As world leaders in the research and development of new cosmeceuticals and cosmetic procedures, our team often has the opportunity to travel to share findings, discuss industry advancements, and lead sessions with their peers.
April was a particularly busy month of travel for Drs. Humphrey and Carruthers. Here’s why:
Dr. Humphrey was in Monaco, presenting at the 16th Anti-Aging and Aesthetic Medicine World Congress, which takes place annually at the Grimaldi Forum. The conference attracts distinguished physicians, scientists, researchers and other industry experts with the goal of inspiring ideas, knowledge sharing and further networking opportunities amongst the field’s top practitioners.
As a member of the international steering committee for Revance Therapeutics, while in Monaco, Dr. Humphrey attended the advisory board meeting and presented clinical research information on a new neuromodulator to the academic congress. With trials still underway, we will have more to come on this exciting new advance in cosmetic medicine.
A prominent voice at the annual event, Dr. Humphrey presented on three topics: turning patient insights into optimum outcomes; the revival of deoxycholic acid; and the value of Belkyra as a non-surgical injectable treatment for submental fullness and the jowls.
Dr. Carruthers spoke at the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) Annual Conference. Hosted in Dallas, Texas, this conference featured every energy-based device used to do research on various ailments and conditions.
Dr. Carruthers co-chaired a session with Dr. Jeremy Green, where she discussed the impact of combination therapies — not just with injectables, but also incorporating energy-based devices. Panelists and speakers included big names in the industry, such as Dr. Tina Alster and Dr. Vic Narurkar. Dr. Carruthers had the opportunity to discuss the pros and cons of a number of new energy-based machines with her peers, to identify potential additions to our own practice.
Drs. Humphrey, Carruthers and Beleznay have a busy summer schedule of clinic hours, research, and travel ahead. If you want to explore your dermatological options with our physicians, book a consultation now.
